Motherland Music is located in Culver City, about midway between Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) and Hollywood. We have a retail showroom, a drum repair workshop and a class/performance space. We are open daily, 7 days a week. Full hours of opreration are shown here. Drum classes usually end at 8:30 or 9:00 p.m. Monday - Thursday (and we remain open for sales then, too). Everyone is welcome to stop by and check things out. Motherland Music has one of the best selections of African Drums and small percussion for sale anywhere. We offer hands-on instruction for learning traditional rhythms on djembe, dundun, and conga drums. We also have books, CDs, and DVDs for learning how to play and how to fix your djembe. We don't have direct online ordering and payment at this time; just email or call us to order!
