A tension hook is a J-shaped steel rod with threads on straight end, used as the bridge piece between crown rim and side plate bracket for applying tension to drum head. Also referred to as conga lug, tension rod, or hook.
We stock a eight lengths of tension hooks, 3-1/2″ thru 7″ inch (5″ length is most common) in 1/2″ increments. All hooks are 5/16″ cold rolled raw steel (no plating) with standard corse threads. Two flat washers and a heavy hex nut are included with each hook.
