Description
Sturdy natural cocoons made by a moth, filled with small stone pebbles and strung on a cord. This is a traditional leg rattle used for musical purposes in Botswana. The sound is surprisingly aggressive, not loud, but because of the number of individual rattles the volume can be heard well. The overall length varies but most are approximately 36″ long, not including tie ends.
