Kamale Ngoni 14 String

Description

The Kamale Ngoni is a string instrument and a West African guitar. It’s body is usually made of calabash, with animal skin stretched and dried over it. The Ngoni can vary from six, to eight, ten, twelve, fourteen, and eighteen strings. It is played with the thumb and index fingers to create fast riffs and solo phrases. The instrument sounds similar to a harp and sometimes a metal resonator is attached to it’s neck to create a different timbre.
