Description
Essentially a large jug, sometimes called a pot drum, the udu produces resonant bass tones.
The ceramic type from Ghana have two openings and mostly played with both hands to obtain a variety of sounds.
Small unglazed udu: approx. 10 inch dia., 13 inch tall, some have hash marking designs
Medium glazed udu: approx. 12 inch dia., 15 inch tall
