Susu jeli type balafon. The keys are thinner and wider and the gourd resonators bigger for more depth and sustain of the bass sound. The keys, and usually the frame are made from goni wood (Pterocarpus erinaceus) a commonly used quality musical instrument wood used throughout West Africa. Two rubber tipped playing mallets are provided with each instrument
