Description

The Seperwa is a string instrument that was originally played in Ghana. Seperwas that are modern have anywhere between 10 and 14 strings. It is rarely played with the forefingers or a bow, and more commonly played with the thumbs. The instrument can be played sitting down, with it rest on your lap, or it can be played with the neck of the lute standing upright.

This Seperwa was made in Ghana, and has features such as tacks and a symbol carved out the side of the body.
