Motherland Quality Doundouns                              The Foundation

Dunduns provide a melodic bass rhythm, the foundation for dancers, vocals, and other instrumentation and syncs the many to one. A single dundun played is the heart beat, the steady time keeper, when played in sets of two or three they are pitched high, medium, and low. Motherland dunduns are made in several regions of West Africa using either from lighter or heavier type woods. Dunduns can be fixed with thick cowhide or thinner goat skin, both skin types can produce resonate bass tones.
