Motherland Quality Drum Rings drum assembly made easy

A secondary drum part called counter ring (top ring) and anchor ring (bottom ring). Double headed drums use two counter rings, single headed drums use one counter ring with an anchor ring. The counter ring compress the drum head against a flesh ring (inside ring). The anchor ring is fixed against the drum shell.
Motherland makes this type of drum ring with pre-installed rope cradles (aka: ring knots, rope eyes, ring loops, etc.). If your drum requires replacing this part we can send you a ready to install drum ring to help save you time fixing your own drum.
The standard size ring is 1/4 inch round steel bar, we wrap this with black fabric and install 5-mm black color rope. If you are replacing both rings you have the option to choose the amount of ring knots to install. If replacing only one of the two ring then please specify how many ring knots are on the original ring and we will match accordingly.
Bottom Ring for Djembes – This ring is usually welded in place to allow for a smaller ring size around the drum. It wont be possible to fix it this way unless we have your drum. For us to help you with the ring will need to be made large enough to fit over the widest part at the base of the drum. Let us know either the circumference or diameter per illustrated diagram
Top Ring – On most drums it is best for the top ring to fit snugly around the shell. With an accurate measurement we can provide a ring that allow for this. If you also need the inside flesh ring please chose that option.
Custom Ring Work – There is a lot of customization that can be done to make a special “ring with rope knots”. Please contact us if you have questions and specific requirements.
