Steel pan drum

Description

The steelpan was first brought to life by the “panmen” of Trinidad Island in the 1940s, who traditionally hammered the bottoms of oil drums in several areas of the surface to produce defined musical notes. The craft has evolved considerably since then, and the steelpans sold by Motherland are the product of knowledgeable, passionate pan-makers who combine state-of-the-art materials and processes with traditional discipline.
