The djembe is a traditional musical instrument from a wide region in West Africa. Mali, Guinea, Cote d’Ivoire, Senegal, Sierra Leon, Liberia, Burkina Faso, and Ghana. Each country has developed a particular style of djembe, but the woods stay the same.
The djembe shells are sculpted by hand using tradition African drum woods that produce the best sound. The natural animal hides includes goat, bovine, and deer. We believe there is no one correct djembe sound, like peoples voices every one is unique and in the spirit of the music it is the conversation, the message that is sounded that informs, entertains, and heals. Our goal is to connect people with a nice sounding, comfortable drum to play to allow for the best manifestation of these positive life aspects.
